Overall Sustainable Management

Bang Bang has put environmental responsibility at its heart since it first opened in 2017. The bakery-café on Taphul Road has made a name for itself with its green initiatives!

Waste Management

- They are using "green" packaging which are made from 90% paper and cardboard, biodegradable plastics, and fabric.

- They are charging customers for single-use take-away packaging in order to encourage them to rethink the way they consume these materials. They also encourage customers to bring their own bags and containers by offering them discounts if they do so.

- Say no to plastic straws: Bang Bang is using metal straws to accompany all its drinks.

- The waste is separated so that cans, plastic bottles and cardboard packaging can be recycled.

Local Support

- They aim to buy and use local ingredients whenever possible

- They use Southeast Asian coffee beans blended and roasted in Phnom Penh by Feel Good Coffee

- The Bang Bang’s team benefits from secure and long-term employment.

- The staff is properly trained, paid fairly, and treated well.

- They order cleaning products from an environmentally friendly brand.

Other info

- The staff at the café is encouraged to take reusable bags and containers to the local markets when shopping for ingredients.
